Founders
Emily & Olivia – the youngest of four sisters from the UK.
Emily and Olivia, the youngest sisters from the UK, founded Wheely Good Ceramics through a shared journey of creativity and resilience. In 2022, feeling lost after university, Olivia turned to ceramics as a creative outlet. That same summer, Emily, who became paralysed at 13 due to a virus affecting her spinal cord, began painting with her mouth. Struggling to find the right medium, and never knowing what to paint, Olivia made a pot for her to paint instead. She discovered underglaze on Olivia’s pots to be the perfect medium and enjoyed painting on a ceramic rather than a canvas. Their first collaboration—a jug painted with butterflies for their sister as an engagement gift —sparked the beginning of Wheely Good Ceramics, a heartfelt blend of handmade pottery and mouth-painted art.
